Terms of Service

LegendaryQuiz is under active development. These Terms are a draft — before full, high-traffic operation they should be reviewed by a professional. This is not legal advice.
1. General
These Terms of Service govern the use of the LegendaryQuiz (legendaryquiz.com) online quiz service (the "Service") provided by the operator Magyar Bence (the "Operator"). By using the Service — as a guest or a registered user — you accept these Terms.
2. The Service
The Service is a free, bilingual (Hungarian/English) online quiz platform offering quizzes, scoring and a leaderboard. The Service is provided "as is", currently in a beta version; the Operator does not guarantee continuous, error-free operation and may modify, suspend or discontinue the Service at any time.
3. User accounts
Saving points and appearing on the leaderboard require registration and a verified email address. You agree to provide accurate information when registering, not to share your account with others, and that you are responsible for activity on your account. You can delete your account at any time from your profile (GDPR).
You may also play as a guest (without an account). In that case the points you earn are tracked in your browser's local storage and a functional cookie (lq_guest), and when you verify your email after registering we automatically link the server-recorded results achieved on this device to your account — your best result per quiz counts (an anti-farming rule). If you clear your browser data before verifying, or register from a different device or browser, not-yet-linked guest progress may be lost.
4. Acceptable use
Abusive use of the Service is prohibited, including in particular: access or scoring via automated tools (bots), circumventing the system's security, unauthorised use of others' accounts, posting unlawful, offensive or harassing content (e.g. as a username), and intentionally disrupting the operation of the Service.
5. Intellectual property
The content of the Service — the quizzes, questions, texts, design and source code — is the intellectual property of the Operator or is lawfully used, and is protected by copyright. The content may not be copied, distributed or exploited for commercial purposes without the Operator's prior consent.
6. Limitation of liability
You use the Service at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the Operator excludes liability for any direct or indirect damages arising from the use of the Service, for any data loss, or for the unavailability of the Service. We strive to compile the quiz content accurately, but do not guarantee that it is entirely free of errors.
7. Advertising
The Service may in the future display advertising from third parties (e.g. Google AdSense) to fund its operation. Information about advertising-related cookies and data processing, and about consent management, will be provided in the Privacy Policy when ads are introduced.
8. Data processing
The processing of your personal data is governed by the Privacy Policy, which forms an inseparable part of these Terms.
9. Changes to the Terms
The Operator reserves the right to amend these Terms unilaterally. Amended terms take effect upon publication; continued use of the Service constitutes acceptance of the changes.
10. Termination
You can delete your account at any time. In the event of a breach of these Terms, the Operator is entitled to suspend or delete your account.
